Umzumbe Municipality wishes to congratulate the Matric class of 2019 on a job well done.
“The stellar performance by the class of 2019 deserve all the praise which is attributed to the dedication the educators gave in ensuring that learners are well prepared for the exams. We would also like to thank the parents for assisting learners and allowing them to study thoroughly throughout the year. To those that did not make it this year, remember it is not wrong to try again and we strongly encourage them to continue with education. And lastly, to the learners, we thank you for this achievement and it is now your time to shine,” cites Cllr Londolo Zungu.
As per the School Performance Report released by the Department of Basic Education, Ugu District leads in the province with an overall pass rate at 86.3%. Below is the results for Umzumbe with some of the highest achieved schools:
