The overall function of the department is to maximize the municipality’s resources ensuring the municipality performs its business in a sustainable manner. This is to ensure the municipality remains financially viable; increase the confidence of stakeholders in the municipality’s financial management, value for money for its residents and excellence in financially related matters
Budget, Treasury & Revenue Unit
Budget, Treasury and Revenue Unit is responsible for ensuring that Budgets are prepared, Budgets are effectively utilised, reporting to National Treasury and other spheres of the Government, Financial Forecasting, Property Rates and collection of other income.
Expenditure & Assets Unit
Expenditure and Assets is responsible for Salaries Administration, Creditor’s Management, VAT Compliance, Government Grants Administration, Maintenance of Assets and Investments.
Supply Chain Management Unit
Supply Chain Management is responsible for the implementation of the Supply Chain Management policy and ensuring that the goods and services are procured in manner which is transparent, competitive, equitable, cost effective and fair.
