Administration Unit

MANAGER ADMINISTRATION UNIT

Administration Unit in the Umzumbe Local Municipality is responsible for minute taking for all Council meetings i.e. Executive Committee, Council, Portfolio Committees and Sub-Committees. The Unit is also responsible for Council’s Municipal code, ensure efficient Registry and Switchboard Operations.

Fleet Management Sub-Unit which deals with the control of all Municipal vehicles is also answerable to the Administration Unit. Administration Unit also renders the following General Administration: Municipal Notices, Policies Register and Municipal records in ensuring smooth run and efficiency of the day-to-day Municipal Operations.

Human Resources Management Unit

Human Resources is responsible for Labour matters, Recruitment and Selection and Staff benefits,

Skills Development and Training – conducting Skills Audit on all Employees within the Umzumbe Local Municipality, advancing the skills of the employees of Umzumbe Local Municipality through facilitation of training, awarding of tuition assistance and scholarship.

Information & Communication Technology Unit

MANAGER INFORMATION & COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY

The Information and Communication Technology Unit provides Telecommunications and Information Technology (ICT) support to all the Departments and users within Umzumbe Local Municipality.

The ICT Unit has to ensure that the correct and accurate data is available and accessible by the authorised Departments and Users internally and externally all the time.  This data must be secured against unauthorised users and viruses.

This Unit has to ensure that up-to-date Systems and infrastructure are used to enhance speedy service delivery.
